Cybermoor is a community organisation in rural Cumbria which provides wireless broadband access to the local community.
Cybermoor is planning a community share offer to raise £25,000 towards the cost of establishing a network connection for its recently installed fibre optic cable between Alston and Nenthead. This will be a “time-bound offer” and will be launched later this year.
Project Manager Daniel Heery said "We want Alston to have the best connections in the country and be the first market town to have fibre optic cable. If we can bring this off it will be a real shot in the arm for Alston Moor".
